After 14 years with Abbott Insurance Brokers on the client side, Andrew Dufton has taken on a new challenge as Christchurch Branch Manager.
Leading our flagship branch is an exciting prospect for Andrew and one he’s well suited to. Since joining Abbott Insurance Brokers in 2004, Andrew has been a dedicated commercial broker, a broker principal/shareholder and, prior to our merger with I C Frith & Associates in January, a director.

Andrew is easily one of our most experienced and professional commercial brokers, as well as a natural leader and strategist.
With a team of 25 direct reports in the Christchurch branch, plus oversight of four other entities within the Abbott Group, he’s going to be busy. But Andrew relishes the opportunity.
He says it’s an exciting time to be part of the management team as the Abbott Group enters a new growth phase.
“We have a host of great people here who will grow the business and shape it into an even better place for both staff and clients.”
And while Andrew says the increased use of technology is inevitable within the industry, he says the team remains committed to building long-term relationships with clients.
“It’s the foundation of everything we do and we will continue to provide a personal, bespoke client service.”
