The Abbott Group act as intermediaries between our clients and their insurers. We are there to offer our clients advice and support, and can negotiate on your behalf with your insurer if needed.
Tamara Withell (right) has been with the Abbott Group since 2011, joining us as a Claims Consultant to assist with the large number of earthquake claims – many of our clients will know Tamara from then. She then moved to a role managing our domestic portfolio, but returned to our claims team last year. Tamara has extensive claims experience, having previously handled rural claims at Tower Insurance and general claims at IAG.
Tamara particularly enjoys the rural, contracting side of claims as she has such a strong background in this area. This gives her a practical approach when handling claims and explaining to insurers why a decision should be overturned.
Outside of work Tamara is currently training for a half marathon and enjoys art, travel and gardening. Clients who visit the office on a Monday will see fresh flowers on Tamara’s desk from her garden!
Vikki Langley (left) is a recent addition to the Abbott Group claims team, joining us nearly six months ago. Vikki is highly experienced within the insurance industry, having held various roles with a major insurer since 1994.
Having worked part time for a number of years while raising her two children, Vikki is ready to return to full-time work, and to take up the challenge of expanding her insurance knowledge into claims management.
Outside of work Vikki is a devoted mother to her 12 and 14-year-old children and loves gardening, sewing, and a quiet glass of wine with family and friends. She is a keen jam and chutney maker so morning tea at Abbotts should be vastly improved now that Vikki has joined the team!
