Abbott Christchurch staff put on their pinnies and baked up a storm to spread some cheer to the families staying at Ronald McDonald House recently.
A team of Abbott volunteers led by broker Judith Fairbairn, packed around 26 platefuls of yummy baking into boxes and delivered the huge pile of goodies to Ronald McDonald House.
Ronald McDonald house welcomes donations of baking – the kids and their families love home baking and its encouraged by their doctors. Its all part of the ‘home away from home’ environment Ronald McDonald House aim to provide for families from around New Zealand while their children are undergoing treatment at Christchurch Hospital.
It’s a massive undertaking to keep the House open 365 days per year. Ronald McDonald House isn’t government funded and is hugely reliant on donations, sponsorship and volunteers to stay afloat.
Our Abbott Christchurch staff were happy to help support this amazing facility – and its pretty safe to say there were no leftovers!
