With 377 brokers in 1,900 offices throughout Australia, New Zealand and Asia, and a growing presence in Europe, the sheer size and scale of the Steadfast Group gives us superior market access to the world’s leading insurers and reinsurers.
It means we can respond to our clients’ risk needs anywhere in the world, from one-off market placements and specialist underwriting, to tailored business insurance programmes with options from more than 160 products and services only available to Steadfast members.
And with Steadfast brokers placing more than 2.3 million policies across 150 national and international insurers, we have the power to negotiate better policy terms – broader coverage and customized options – and more competitive prices.
Anthony Jones, our General Manager Operations, and Derrick Abbott, our founding broker, are Directors of Steadfast New Zealand.
We are members of IBANZ, the representative voice of general insurance brokers, risk managers and consumers in New Zealand.
IBANZ provides independent client focussed professional advice, including technical advice, guidance on regulation, and business support. As a professional association, IBANZ is also committed to raising and maintaining professional standards, and supporting educational and professional development.
One of our senior brokers, Christchurch based Stuart Speirs, is currently a Vice President of IBANZ.
Financial Advice New Zealand
Established in 2018 by three founding bodies (Institute of Financial Advisers, New Zealand Financial Advisers’ Association, and Professional Advisers’ Association), Financial Advice New Zealand was created to champion quality financial advice by helping its adviser members do what they do best and helping more New Zealanders access financial advice.
Financial Markets Authority
The Financial Markets Authority (FMA) is a Government agency and plays a critical role in regulating capital markets and financial services in New Zealand.
Our general insurance brokers and financial advisers are registered on the FMA’s Financial Service Provider (FSP) register. They also undertake ongoing professional development to ensure they maintain their Professional Insurance Broker (PIB) rating with the FMA.
